Sceau de jade vivant

A fallen emperor's jade seal, still hopping in search of a new master.

Overview

The seal of a fallen emperor. When his dynasty fell, the Mandate of Heaven stayed trapped in the jade. The seal has been hopping for centuries in search of a new master, stamping its mark on everything it meets. Each shard keeps a piece of the Mandate and rises as a smaller seal.

It hops and hurts at touch as the vanilla slime. The big and middle seals also strike with the seal's blow: they rise over you, hang flat while their shadow grows under you, then slam down. Each landing stamps its carved red underside on the ground for 3 seconds.

As it dies it cracks and bursts in jade; the smaller seals that appear roll over and stand up.

Move 1

Seal's blow

Within about 1 to 4.5 blocks, it braces for 8 ticks, rises over you, hangs flat for half a second (its shadow is the signal), then slams for its attack damage. Every 2.5 to 4.5 seconds.

Effect

Imperial mark

Under the big seal's slam you are slowed for 2 seconds; the red mark stays on the ground 3 seconds.

Death

Shatter

It cracks and bursts in jade at the end of its death; the smaller seals roll over and stand up.

How to beat it

  1. When it rises and hangs over you, step out of its shadow or dodge with Left Alt.
  2. Strike it during its braced crouch, before it rises.
  3. Keep your back clear when it dies: two to four smaller seals stand up where it fell.
