Disciple noyé

A disciple who sank in a frozen lake during a trial, and climbs back out of rivers at night.

Overview

This disciple fell into a frozen lake during a trial. The Qi of the cold water kept it: at night it comes back up out of rivers and lakes. Some still clutch the fisherman's fork they sank with.

With a fork (a trident) it throws it like a javelin. In the water and empty-handed, it swims up and grabs you. On land and empty-handed it fights as the Disciple déchu.

It hunts only when the vanilla drowned would: at night, or prey in the water.

Javelin throw

It draws its arm straight back, shoulders side-on, and lets the fork fly about 1.3 seconds into the throw. It waits 2 seconds between throws, from up to 10 blocks.

How to beat it

  1. Watch for the drawn-back arm: that is the throw coming. Dodge sideways with Left Alt or hold your guard.
  2. Stay out of the water at night near rivers and lakes; in the water it grabs.
  3. After a throw it has to draw a new fork: close in then.
