Gobi, poplars and an oasis
Hexi Frontier Desert
Gobi gravel, wind-carved yardangs and golden poplars on the Silk Road.
The Hexi Corridor, 1 000 km between the Qilian mountains and the Mongolian plateau. Dark weathered Gobi gravel with sand drifts, yardang ridges 14 to 38 blocks long all facing the same wind, desert poplars, tamarisk, saxaul and cistanche. No rain. Husks and camels. Home of the Jade Gate Beacon Post.
The Heavenly Demon Cult's capital is planned in this desert (see Factions).
